With its unique interdisciplinary approach that bridges studio production, art history and curatorial practice, Department of Visual Communication offers students the opportunity to become well-rounded professionals in the field, able to lead in the creation, exhibition, critical understanding and communcation of visual culture in diverse environments.
Through intensive studio training supported by studies in the history and theory of art, students receive a thorough grounding in the production of media works and comparative cultural analysis across a wide range of traditional and contemporary media. At all levels, students are mentored by faculty mambers who are highly regarded experts with active professional practices. McGan's International Academy of Visual Arts students are supported in their exploration and creation with access to facilities unrivalled in India with spacious, state of the art studios run by Artificial Intelligence based production and solutions.
Scholarship will be awarded to the economically poor and meritorious students. A committee headed by Principal will submit the list of students to the Management for their consideration. The areas of selection will be from class toppers, attendance toppers, Winners in Anna University Sports tournaments, University rank obtainers. The awards will be announced during the Annual Day.
